Yoga, and similar Eastern exercises such as Tai Chi and Chi Gung, are forms of exercise which are fantastic for colon cleansing, good health in general, and for keeping us flexible, strong and healthy through youth and into old age.

Powerful Yet Gentle
Yoga is carried out very much at the speed of the person practicing it. There is no competition; you just do whatever you can and, over time, you will see your flexibility improve as your body loosens up and you attain postures more easily than previously.

The yoga postures, or 'asanas', gently twist and stretch the muscles, tendons and joints, pulling them, pushing them, massaging them and pumping blood into and around them. These gentle actions improve the function of the body tissues, improve circulation to and from them, increase nourishment to, and remove toxins from, all these areas. The effect on the colon of these gentle yet firm actions can be tremendous, and colon cleansing is very likely to be enhanced.

Improving nourishment and removing toxins improves the function of any organ or area; helps avoid serious diseases including cancer; and helps prolong youth and longevity.

Although it is better to start younger rather than older, yoga can be started at any age. Many people are just not interested in this sort of activity when young, of course; but it is so valuable for the middle aged or older person because the chance of injury is very slim compared to more vigorous activity such as a sport.

Also in its favour, yoga can be carried out anywhere at any time. Although classes and instruction are vital to start off and periodically after that, it can be carried out at home, preferably each day if only for a short time. Yoga can also very easily be carried out when away from home such as on holiday.
