Colon
Cleansing is a very valuable method of helping the body to
detox. This is because the colon is the prime detox organ in the
body and is responsible for eliminating more toxins than any other
organ. If the colon is working well, this happens
efficienctly. If the colon is not working well, cleansing does
not take place effectively and toxins can be re-absorbed back into
the body via the blood stream.
Many people find they feel fantastic after a
colon cleanse.
Naturopaths generally recommend that a healthy
frequency of bowel movements is three times a day. This is because
most of us eat eat three times a day, so the food
waste should, logically, be evacuated periodically during the day -
not all at once. A good habit like this is a great support for
colon cleansing.
If a person was in the habit of having only one
bowel movements a day - or even (please - no!) every 2 days or
even less often - this means that large amounts of food waste would
be being held in 'storage', waiting for evacuation. This is
not 'natural'; it happens more for our convenience, then it becomes
a habit.
Colon cleansing helps to ensure that the bowel
stays in a good condition, and that the body maintains around 3
bowel movements a day.
